🕊️Finding Peace in the Midst of Emotions🕊️

Sometimes, emotions show up without warning. Tears, sadness, or a heaviness in the chest can arrive even when life is moving forward and blessings are unfolding. This morning, I found myself feeling a wave of sadness while sitting under my favorite tree, even though I had good news about my project and a quiet, beautiful day outside.

What I realized is that these emotions are not setbacks—they are part of the healing process. They are proof that the parts of us that have been numbed, ignored, or dismissed are finally being seen and acknowledged. God’s presence reminds us that it is safe to feel, to release, and to let go of the weight we’ve carried for so long.

Sitting in my swing, feeling the breeze, hearing the birds, and being grounded with my bare feet on the soil, I could let the tears flow without shame. Even though I was sad, I also felt peace returning, as God was gently saying: “This is your time. You are safe. You are held. You are not a burden.”

Through this moment, I learned that stepping into a new chapter of life does not mean we erase the past or force happiness. It means acknowledging our emotions, letting them pass, and choosing to hold onto the truth of God’s love, safety, and peace.

Prayer

Dear God, thank You for being a safe place for my heart. Thank You for the moments when emotions flow, when tears release, and when I feel the weight of the past lift. Help me to remember that I am never a burden, that my feelings are valid, and that Your love surrounds me always. Guide me to spaces and practices that bring peace, grounding, and joy. May I step into each new chapter of my life with courage, hope, and a deep awareness of Your presence. Amen.
